SG Containers Review is an editorial publication operated by DeltaSpark. This address is the way to reach the editors about the guides on this site. Below is what to send, how each kind of message is handled, and which requests we cannot take on.

How to reach us

Write to jacklau@sgcontainers.com. Use the subject line to say what kind of message it is, for example "Correction", "Source question", "Topic suggestion" or "Privacy request". That helps the right person read it first.

Please name the guide you are writing about, and quote the statement you are asking about, word for word if you can. The guides are long and many statements look alike, so a quotation lets the editors find the exact sentence and compare it with the sources cited for it. A link to the page helps, and so does the heading of the section where the statement appears.

Diagram of where to send your question: write to SG Containers Review at jacklau@sgcontainers.com for corrections to a guide, questions about a source, topic suggestions and privacy requests; not handled here: orders or service for the former Saint-Gobain Containers business, equipment or bottle quotations, and requests to publish paid content without disclosure.

Corrections

If you think a guide contains an error, send us the guide title, the statement you believe is wrong, what you think is correct, and, where you can, a source for it. A standard, a manufacturer document, a measurement method or a published study is more useful than an opinion, because the guides are written to rest on cited sources. If the issue is a number, tell us the unit and the conditions it applies to; many apparent conflicts in packaging come from different units, tolerances or test methods.

Corrections are checked against the cited sources and, where needed, against additional ones. The editorial policy describes the standards we apply. When a change is substantive, meaning it alters what a reader would conclude or do, an undated change note is added to the guide so readers can see that the text was revised and why. Typographical and formatting fixes are made without a note. We do not promise a response time, and we may not reply to every message, but we read the messages that follow the format above.

Questions about sources

Every guide ends with an Evidence and limitations section. It lists the kinds of sources the guide relies on and says where the evidence is thin, where practice varies between plants, and what the guide does not claim. If you want to know where a particular statement came from, or you think a source has been read too broadly, write to us and name the guide and the statement.

Two examples show how this works. The guide to glass bottle filling machines separates what machine types generally do from what depends on a specific product and line, and the guide to neck finishes and closures explains which dimensions come from published finish standards and which depend on the closure supplier. Questions about how a source supports a claim, whether a newer edition of a standard exists, or why one source was preferred over another are all fine to ask.

Topic suggestions

We welcome suggestions for subjects readers would like covered. The scope is glass packaging and the equipment around it: glass containers and their specifications, how glass containers are made, filling, capping, labeling and inspection on bottling lines, applications by product type, and buying guides that help prepare a clearer supplier enquiry.

The suggestions that help most are specific questions: what you were trying to decide, what you could not find explained, and what terms confused you. A question such as how finish dimensions affect capper changeover is easier to turn into a useful guide than a request for "more on closures". A suggestion does not commit us to publish a guide, and we do not write about individual companies or products on request.

Commercial relationships and disclosures

If you believe a guide reflects a commercial relationship that is not disclosed, or that a statement favors a supplier without saying so, tell us which guide and why. We do not publish paid content without labeling it. Our current disclosures, including the operator and any relationships we have, are on the disclosures page, and we correct that page when the facts change.

Requests to publish sponsored or paid material without disclosure will not be accepted. Messages that offer payment in exchange for a link or a favorable mention will not change what a guide says.

Privacy requests

To ask what we hold about you, or to ask us to delete correspondence, write to the same address and mark the subject "Privacy request". The privacy page explains what the site collects and how long correspondence is kept. We use your email address only to read and respond to your message. Please do not send information your question does not need, such as sensitive personal details or confidential company documents.

What we cannot help with

SG Containers Review is a publication, not a supplier. We cannot give quotations, take orders, send samples, recommend a specific machine for your plant, or provide equipment service or repair. For those, contact the manufacturers and distributors directly; the buying guides are meant to help you prepare that conversation.

We are not affiliated with Saint-Gobain or the former Saint-Gobain Containers business, and we do not handle orders, customer service, accounts or records for that business. Our historical reference page records what is publicly known about the old website address and points to where the business went. We cannot forward requests to Saint-Gobain or to any other company, so messages meant for them should be sent to them, not to us.
